At Long Road, the determination and resilience of students have been reflected in their results, with many students achieving outstanding top grades across both A Level and Applied subjects. We are equally proud of students who have made exceptional progress, often overcoming significant challenges to reach their goals.

Principal Steve Dann said: “Results Day is about so much more than grades. It is a chance to celebrate the achievements, personal growth and journeys of every one of our students. We are immensely proud of every one of them and everything they have worked so hard to achieve. Whatever their next step, they leave Long Road with the confidence, skills and ambition to take on the future, and we wish them every success for the exciting journey ahead.”

The Sixth Form College, Colchester is also celebrating the culmination of two years of hard work and commitment. Students have once again impressed with their high grades, with many achieving the results they need to secure places at their first-choice destinations and take another step towards their future ambitions.

Principal Jo Cadman said: “This has been a great year for the college and its students – they make a huge contribution to our OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ provision and reputation, and it’s really pleasing to see all their hard work rewarded with such fantastic results. It’s especially pleasing to celebrate these achievements in a summer where the College is already celebrating the news that we’ve just been awarded £4m to fund a whole new additional building on the site, giving us even more room and facilities to help further generations of students to share in their success.”

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all the teaching and support staff who have encouraged, challenged and supported students throughout their time at college. Across The Sixth Form Colleges Trust, our staff work tirelessly to help every student fulfil their potential, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment and contribution to these achievements.

Students from both colleges are now heading off in all sorts of exciting directions, with some taking up places at leading universities, including Oxbridge and Russell Group institutions, while others are embarking on degree apprenticeships, apprenticeships, employment, further training and other new adventures. Whatever their destination, The Sixth Form Colleges Trust is incredibly proud of all our students and wishes them every success as they take their next steps and begin the exciting next chapter of their lives.
